Climbing crag in your Hochpustertal holiday region

Activity holiday at the 4-star-superior Leitlhof Hotel in Innichen

The South Tyrolean Dolomite Alps are highly appreciated by climbers. Apart from various climbing walls like on the popular Drei Zinnen or the Rotwand, climbing enthusiasts will find a great alternative with the region’s many climbing crags.

Alpinists find perfect climbing diversity and beautiful views over the towering Drei Zinnen, in Höhlensteintal, in Innerfeldtal and in Rienztal.

Climbing in Höhlensteintal

In a side-valley of Hochpustertal you will find the great Dolomite Rocks for various climbing levels. The climbing crags in Rienztal, on Lake Dürrensee or behind the Drei Zinnen Blick Hotel are the climbing hotspots.

Climbing crag behind the Drei Zinnen Blick Hotel

From the “Drei Zinnen Blick” Hotel in Höhlensteintal take the hiking path Nr. 34 by foot to the rock. You climb on mostly vertical and beetle places with holes and ledges. Here you will find tours of the difficulty levels: 5, 6b, 6c, 7a, 7c, 8a, 8b and 11.

Lake Dürrensee climbing crag near Landro

The traditional climbing crag offers ledges and holes climbing at its best on partly very beetle rocks.

The climbing crag is located slightly after Lake Dürrensee if you come from Toblach in direction of Cortina. From the parking area you will already be able to see the rocks on your right.

Climbing in Rienztal

In the Rienztal climbing crag you will find courses for all climbing types and all difficulty levels. As a special reward you will be able to enjoy fascinating panorama views over the Drei Zinnen and the surrounding Dolomites’ mountain tops.

The climbing crag is located on the way to the Drei Zinnen hut. Around 30 courses of the difficulty levels 4-8a can be climbed here.

Climbing on the Haunold in Innichen

Close to your Leitlhof Hotel you will find this climbing crag on Innichen’s local mountain, close to the Haunold upper terminus. Around 20 courses of the difficulty levels 4 to 7c are available here.

Climbing in Innerfeldtal – Sexten

Shortly before Sexten turn into the Innerfeldtal valley. From the parking area you hike about 30 minutes to the Dreischusterhütte hut. This first climbing area is located directly above the hut, another one is located a couple of metres further towards the valley. The climbable rocks offer over 30 courses of the difficulty levels 5a to 7c.
