Sextner Dolomites Ski Tour
The Giro delle Cime ski tour in the Sextner Dolomites ski area provides a lot of variety. It gives alpine skiers the chance to discover four different local skiing areas in just one day: Helm, Rotwand, Kreuzberg and the Val Comelico Ski Area. The course is 30 km long and comprises 10,000 metres of altitude difference in a beautiful area rightly known as the "Jewel of the Dolomites", the Dolomites themselves being a UNESCO world heritage site. A ski shuttle is available for single sections.
It starts at the valley station in Vierschach. The 6-seater cable car and the 3-seater chairlift take you up to 2,200 metres, the highest part of the tour. From there you go downhill to Sexten and from there the "Salto" ski transfer takes you on to Rotwand. After seeing the reindeer and the giant snowmen you make your leisurely way down to the Kreuzberg pass. You then ski down the adjoining Mark Girardelli slope to Val Grande in the province of Belluno.
After a short transfer with the ski bus you reach the Val Comelico ski area, which offers descents of varying difficulty from the Col della Tenda. The ski transfer then brings you back via the Kreuzberg pass to the Helm panoramic cable car. After a last 4.75 km descent on the Helmissimo piste you come back to the starting point in Vierschach.
We shall be pleased to provide you with the latest snow reports at any time. We look forward to your call.
