Climbing in South Tyrol

Above all summits is where is peace …

... Johann Wolfgang Goethe already knew this. Climbers love the peace and quiet on the surrounding mountains in Innichen in Hochpustertal and the adventurous climbing on the Dolomites rocks. The Sextner Dolomite Alps are perfect for alpine enthusiastic climbers. More moderate hikes are also possible in Pustertal’s Drei Zinnen Nature Park.

The opening of the Dolomite Alps began 200 years ago by Europe’s most popular climber. Various climbing tours still have his name.

Climbing tour – Die große Zinne

The highest of the “Drei Zinnen” (Three Pinnacles) is still considered to be one of the most popular climbing destinations of the Alps. The various tour offer a wide range of opportunities for all difficulty levels (III-XI), that is why the tours are all manageable with a tour guide for all climbers with not so much experience as well as a great challenge for pros. Climbing the tours is most recommended between June and October.

Start: Auronzo hut

Walking and climbing time (depending on the tour): ¾ hour to the access point, 3 hours to the summit and 3 hours for the return.

The regional mountain guides will gladly advise you when it comes to the right gear and the like.
