GUIDED HIKE TOUR WITH RUDI: PRATO PIAZZA – MONTE SPECIE

Starting from the parking lot, the forest road n. 37 leads to the Vallandro Refuge at 2,040 m. On the north side of the refuge the excursion continues on path no. 34, which leads to the fork of Monte Specie at an altitude of 2,200 m. From the saddle you can now see the cross of Monte Specie at 2,307 m.Breathtaking is also the view of the Dolomites, the Croda Rossa and the Croda del Becco, the Tre Cime, the Cadini group, Monte Cristallo, the Tofane and the Marmolada.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR WITH RUDI: CIMA BANCHE TO PRATO PIAZZA

From the top of the pass at Cimabanche we along a gravel road (path nr. 18) over a rubble cone overgrown with mountain pines through the quiet Knappenfuß valley and through the ditch to its end.
Here steeply uphill to the right up to Prato Piazza (2000m). Prato Piazza is a high plateau with a wonderful view of the surrounding Mountain panorama wich includes the Hohe Gaisl, Dürrenstein and the Three Peaks (Drei-Zinnen). At the Top we still have the possibility to make a stop bevor descending.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR WITH RUDI: FLODIGE – MT. KASSAMUTZ (2333 m)

Starting point is the „Nasswand“ military cemetery in Höhlenstein valley (Dobbiaco). We take path nr.33 with a steep inline right up to Refuge Flodige. This quiet area is located in the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park below the Mt. Dürrenstein. This path is rarely used, which only adds to it’s beauty. On the summit oft he Mt. Kassamutz we enjoy the view of Lake Dobbiaco and the Landro valley.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR WITH RUDI: PUTZ-HUT

Today’s hike begins between Toblach and Niederdorf in Maistatt (1250m). Up the forest road, past the Putz Hut and on to the Albertstein. There we enjoy the beautiful view of the Dolomites and the Pustertal Valley. After a half-hour descend we take a stop at the Putz Hut for a little refreshment before we continue the descent.
