GUIDED HIKE TOUR: SEIKOFEL

The hike begins in Moos and climbs to the Froneben mountain inn (1,540 m). From there, trail no. 139 leads through the "Obere Oltl" high moor, then continues on a forest road (trail no. 13) through dense spruce forests along the gorge of the Sexten stream. At the Saumahd junction (1,756 m), you turn right and reach a clearing via a forest road. Trail no. 132 then leads to the Seikofel (1,908 m), passing beautiful moorlands with rare plants and animals.
From the Seikofel, you descend along trail no. 131 toward Kreuzberg Pass, passing through a hollow and up to a trail intersection. Here, you take a wide forest road leading to Schwarzsee. Shortly after the lake, the path turns left and descends steeply, past a campsite, and joins the Sexten Circular Trail (no. 0), which leads back to Moos.

BIKE TOUR: LAKE DOBBIACO & „JAGDHÜTTE“ HUT AND VIEWPOINT TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO

We start on the beautiful forest path (28A) in direction Dobbiaco where we stop at halfway at the Drava Spring. After 5 km we arrive at the train station of Dobbiaco, where the cycle route through the Val di Landro valley starts. After a few minutes we arrive at the Lake Dobbiaco. We cycle around the lake and continue in direction Dobbiaco. When we arrive at the center of the village we go uphill to rifugio Lachwiesen (1690 m). From here we take the panoramic path in direction Monte Versciaco. On the way to Monte Versciaco we stop at the private hut „Jagdhütte“ for a short break. Now we go downhill to Prato alla Drava and back to Hotel Leitlhof.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: STRICKHOF - SILVESTER CHAPEL

Pleasant hike starting from Jaufen Inn. The hike initially goes along the forsest road up to the high meadows (Strickhut). Then on to the Wisleachn hut (1720m) from there we enjoy the view of tthe surrounding Dolomites, part of the Carnic ridge and east Tyrol. Not far away lies the Silvester chapel (1850m). If needed, we then have the possibility to take a short rest at Silvester hut before heading home.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: BARANCI TOUR

Leaving south from San Candido, we walk on path 105 towards Sesto. After the underpass of the provincial road, we follow the signs for "Bagni di San Candido". The ruins of the hotel complex take us back to the early twentieth century. The therapeutic properties of the different springs, however, were known since the late Middle Ages and were used to soothe various diseases. High above the remains of the baths is the renovated chapel of San Salvatore, dating back to the 16th century. We follow the path n ° 78 up to the crossroads, which indicates the "Rifugio Monte Baranci". We soon reach the highest point of our tour, the mountain station of the Baranci. We descend towards San Candido on the dirt road with the No. 6. The last stretch of our excursion, before returning to the Leitlhof, allows us to enjoy the historic center of San Candido.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: LUTTERKOPF

The starting point of our hike is the car park above the Mudlerhof. For the ascent, we take path no. 31, which climbs steadily through spruce and stone pine forest. The breathtaking view from the Lutterkopf leaves nothing to be desired. Now we have managed the metres in altitude and continue along the ridge to the turn-off that leads us down to the Taistner Alm.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: SUNRISE HIKE TO PRATO PIAZZA – MONTE SPECIE

Starting from the parking lot, the forest road n. 37 leads to the Vallandro Refuge at 2,040 m. On the north side of the refuge the excursion continues on path no. 34, which leads to the fork of Monte Specie at an altitude of 2,200 m. From the saddle you can now see the cross of Monte Specie at 2,307 m.
Breathtaking is also the view of the Dolomites, the Croda Rossa and the Croda del Becco, the Tre Cime, the Cadini group, Monte Cristallo, the Tofane and the Marmolada.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: HELMHAUS

We take the Leitl bus to the Helm valley station. After the ascent with the cable car (approx. 2040m altitude) our hike begins.
The trail leads along the Hüttensteig (P20), located on the shady side of the Carnic ridge. We enjoy the view of the East Tyrolean Puster Valley. After a slight ascent, the panorama of the Sesto Dolomites opens up, located on the south side. Surefootedness is required on the beautiful but steep grade that leads past the military fortresses of the 1930s. Now it is only a few metres to the Helmhaus, our summit destination.
A wonderful 360 degree panoramic view from the mountain massif of the Rieserferner to the Bellunese Dolomites is offered to us.
The descent leads east (P4) to the Füllhorn. Continue in a westerly direction (P3-20), past the Hahnspielhütte. It is not far to the Helmrestaurant, our tour start. We take the train back down to the valley.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: FRONDEIGEN - GOLFEN

The hike on the Golfen begins in Frondeigen in the Silvestertal. Following path number 24 in the direction of Golfen, the hike first leads from the Kurterhof up the asphalt road and then turns into a wide forest path. It meanders in a gentle ascent through the forest, behind which picturesque larch meadows stretch. While they transform into a colorful sea of flowers in early summer, the sun-loving larches shine in the most beautiful golden yellow in autumn. With a view of the jagged Dolomites, the narrow path now climbs through picturesque mountain meadows, overgrown with innumerable pasquets and gentians in early summer, to the summit flank of Golfen, over which it finally leads

GUIDED HIKE AND BIKE TOUR: GANTRASTE

We ride our bikes up to the mountain station of the Haunold/Baranci. From there, the hike begins. We descend a few meters to the west and soon spot the signpost to “Gantraste” trail no. 6. It’s 220 meters of elevation gain to the “Maierkaser” hut. The trail leads through a beautiful spruce forest. We take a short break to drink some water before continuing our tour up to the summit cross (2130 m). To the east, we can see the “Haunold Köpfl.” In the south, the 2692 m high “Gantkofel” is visible. The Puster Valley and the Sesto Valley are also clearly recognizable. To the north, we get a view into the Silvestro Valley with the “Pfannhorn” behind it. We follow the same path back down to the “Maierkaser.” Then we return to the mountain station via the forest road.

We take the shuttle bus from Leitlhof via Misurina to Passo Tre Croci. From there we start our mountain hike. The trail is quite well laid out, but it requires surefootedness. Some parts are secured with wire ropes. After a 2.5-hour hike we reach the beautiful, turquoise-coloured mountain lake. After a rest, we return the same way.
