GUIDED BIKE TOUR: MOUNTAIN HUTS OF SESTO

We start the tour on the cycle path and go to Sesto. From Sesto we go uphill in direction „Forte Mitterberg“ (steepest part). From here we go in direction „Malga di Nemes“ (hut). At the hut we turn left and go to „Malga Klammbach where we stop for a lunch break. Here we have the perfect view on the Dolomites of Sesto. After lunch we go back to San Candido.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: MISURINA-MONTE PIANA

We start from the Misurina ski lift in the direction of Montepiana. Our route will consist in one part through the toboggan run and the other part in the woods slightly uphill until we reach the Bosi refuge in Monte Piana.
From there we will continue our excursion accompanied by a wonderful view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Ladin Mountain groups.
Monte Piana is an open-air museum of the First World War.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: LAKE BRAIES

The lake Braies is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and known as the „Pearl of the Dolomite Lakes“.
We start on the Val Pusteria cycle path and go to the small village „Ferrara“ (Val di Braies). We continue on the forest path nr. 1 until we reach San Vito. From San Vito we have to go for 2 km on the main road until we reach the beautiful lake Braies.
We leave the bikes at the parking area and start a 40 minute walk around the lake. After the break we go back to San Candido.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: BUNKERS OF ARZALPENKOPF

Our hike today starts at the Passo Monte Croce. Initially quite comfortable, the path leads us through the forest, past the top station of the ski lift. After passing the Bären lake the last stretch gets a little steeper before we get to the huge cavern system at the foot of the Arzalpenkopf. These bunkers were built in the 1930s and were part of the defensive line of the alpines.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: HAUNOLDKÖPFL

We take the chairlift to the Haunoldhütte (1499m). Path 6a leads to fork 7b. The "community kaser" is our next goal. Shortly before that, a forest path branches off to the left. The "Haunold Köpfl" lies to the southeast. We are now on the "Höhenweg Innerfeldtal". After the junction with path 7, the ascent leads through partly flat and partly steep terrain. When you arrive in the cirque, you can see the Three Peaks. The Hofmark Innichen can be seen at "Ostköpfl" (2158). Sure-footed people can use the narrow path on the left to the western "Köpfl" (2158m). The imposing north walls of the Haunold massif rise in front of us. The main summit "Haunold" (2966m) with its neighbors "Gantkofel" and "Neunerkofel" forms the border to the "Birkental" behind it. The descent takes the same path.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: PRATO PIAZZA

We start our trip on the cycle path in direction Dobbiaco. At the train station of Dobbiaco the cycle route through the Val di Landro valley starts. The valley connects Dobbiaco with Cortina d’Ampezzo. After about 2 km we reach the beautiful Lake Dobbiaco, on whose bank the cycle route leads further into the valley. Following the upper course of the Rienza river we reach the Lago di Landro lake. After the lake we have to drive on the Alemagna-Road (SS51) for a short section and reach the hamlet of Carbonin (Schluderbach). At the junction to Misurina / Tre Cime we keep to the right (towards Passo Cimabanche / Cortina) and after about 500 metres the forest road to the Prato Piazza meadows branches off on the right. Here begins the most challenging part of our tour. 10 bends and 550 metres in altitude have to be mastered until we reach the highest point, where we stop for our lunch break and look at the beautiful Dolomites.
Now the descent follows the asphalted mountain road down to Ponticello in Braies Vecchia. We go to the exit of the valley, where we turn into the Val Pusteria Cycle Path towards San Candido.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: FRONDEIGEN - GOLFEN

The hike on the Golfen begins in Frondeigen in the Silvestertal. Following path number 24 in the direction of Golfen, the hike first leads from the Kurterhof up the asphalt road and then turns into a wide forest path. It meanders in a gentle ascent through the forest, behind which picturesque larch meadows stretch. While they transform into a colorful sea of flowers in early summer, the sun-loving larches shine in the most beautiful golden yellow in autumn. With a view of the jagged Dolomites, the narrow path now climbs through picturesque mountain meadows, overgrown with innumerable pasquets and gentians in early summer, to the summit flank of Golfen, over which it finally leads.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: SUNRISE WITH HIKE AROUND THE THREE PEAKS (DREI-ZINNEN)

We go with our shuttle to the Auronzo hut. From there we go east to the the Paternsattel where we will experience the sunrise. After the great impressions, we descend on to the plateu of the 3 peaks and hike along the imposing north walls. Past the Langalm Refuge and back to the starting point.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: VIEWPOINT TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO & MONTE SAN CANDIDO

We start on the beautiful forest path (28A) in direction Dobbiaco where we stop at halfway at the Drava Spring. After 5 km we arrive at the train station of Dobbiaco, where the cycle route through the Val di Landro valley starts. The valley connects Dobbiaco with Cortina d’Ampezzo. After about 2 km we reach the beautiful „Lago di Dobbiaco“. We continue our tour and arrive at the wonderful viewpoint of the „Tre Cime di Lavaredo“. After a short stop at the „Lago di Landro“ we go back to Dobbiaco and up to „Monte San Candido“.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: HELLTAL SCHLECHTEN

A beautiful destination in the Plätzwiese touring area - is also listed on the maps as a large pyramid - but described on the summit cross with the name Helltaler Schlechten 2,711 metres. Not too crowded due to its famous neighbour Dürnstein. Due to the safe ascent, it can usually still be climbed even after major snowfalls - making it a great alternative destination from Dürnstein. Magnificent panoramic views of the Three Peaks, Cristallo Group, Hohe Gaisl, Seekofel and the Tauern Group.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: STRICKHOF - SILVESTER CHAPEL

Pleasant hike starting from Jaufen Inn. The hike initially goes along the forsest road up to the high meadows (Strickhut). Then on to the Wisleachn hut (1720m) from there we enjoy the view of tthe surrounding Dolomites, part of the Carnic ridge and east Tyrol. Not far away lies the Silvester chapel (1850m). If needed, we then have the possibility to take a short rest at Silvester hut before heading home.
