We head towards the mountain of San Candido and from there hike to the Leitlhof hunting lodge. Once we arrive, a delicious "Marende" (South Tyrolean snack) awaits us.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: LAKE DOBBIACO & „JAGDHÜTTE“ HUT AND VIEWPOINT TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO

We start on the beautiful forest path (28A) in direction Dobbiaco where we stop at halfway at the Drava Spring. After 5 km we arrive at the train station of Dobbiaco, where the cycle route through the Val di Landro valley starts. After a few minutes we arrive at the Lake Dobbiaco. We cycle around the lake and continue in direction Dobbiaco. When we arrive at the center of the village we go uphill to rifugio Lachwiesen (1690 m). From here we take the panoramic path in direction Monte Versciaco. On the way to Monte Versciaco we stop at the private hut „Jagdhütte“ for a short break. Now we go downhill to Prato alla Drava and back to Hotel Leitlhof.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: HUT TRE SCARPERI

Probably one of the most beautiful hikes in the San Candido/Innichen. Its main attraction are the wonderful peaks of the Sexten Dolomites that tower over the whole Innerfeldtal valley. The area is also part of the Drei Zinnen Nature Park and is therefore a place of special beauty and tranquillity. The destination for this hike is the Dreischusterhütte/mountain hut. The hike is relatively easy with no particularly difficult sections.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: CASIES VALLEY

We start the tour on the Val Pusteria cycle path and go to „Monguelfo“. Now we turn right into the Casies Valley and go uphill on the cycle path until we reach „Colle“. Only a few km after Colle we turn right. Now the difficult part of the tour starts. We have to go uphill for 5 km (350 vertical meters). We reach the top „Franadega“ and stop for a break. From here we can see Dobbiaco and the surrounding mountains. After the break we go to Dobbiaco and Monte San Candido.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: PRATO PIAZZA 

We start our trip on the cycle path in direction Dobbiaco. At the train station of Dobbiaco the cycle route through the Val di Landro valley starts. The valley connects Dobbiaco with Cortina d’Ampezzo. After about 2 km we reach the beautiful Lake Dobbiaco, on whose bank the cycle route leads further into the valley. Following the upper course of the Rienza river we reach the Lago di Landro lake. After the lake we have to drive on the Alemagna-Road (SS51) for a short section and reach the hamlet of Carbonin (Schluderbach). At the junction to Misurina / Tre Cime we keep to the right (towards Passo Cimabanche / Cortina) and after about 500 metres the forest road to the Prato Piazza meadows branches off on the right. Here begins the most challenging part of our tour. 10 bends and 550 metres in altitude have to be mastered until we reach the highest point, where we stop for our lunch break and look at the beautiful Dolomites. Now the descent follows the asphalted mountain road down to Ponticello in Braies Vecchia. We go to the exit of the valley, where we turn into the Val Pusteria Cycle Path towards San Candido.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: PLÄTZWIESE - DÜRRENSTEIN

Our shuttle bus takes us up to Prato Piazza. There we begin our mountain hike, initially in shallow stone pine and larch forest. Soon we leave the tree line behind us and head up towards the picco di vallandro on a well-laid path. A breathtaking view of 360° of the mountain scenery is our gift for the espended effort.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: MOUNTAIN HUTS OF SESTO

We start the tour on the cycle path and go to Sesto. From Sesto we go uphill in direction „Forte Mitterberg“ (steepest part). From here we go in direction „Malga di Nemes“ (hut). At the hut we turn left and go to „Malga Klammbach where we stop for a lunch break. Here we have the perfect view on the Dolomites of Sesto. After lunch we go back to San Candido.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: SUNRISE WITH HIKE AROUND THE THREE PEAKS (DREI-ZINNEN)

We go with our shuttle to the Auronzo hut. From there we go east to the the Paternsattel where we will experience the sunrise. After the great impressions, we descend on to the plateu of the 3 peaks and hike along the imposing north walls. Past the Langalm Refuge and back to the starting point.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: HELLTAL SCHLECHTEN

Our mountain hike begins at the Plätzwiese (2,000 m). Initially, we follow a marked trail through a stone pine forest in the heart of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. We leave the marked trail and ascend the mountain on less-trodden paths. On the ridge of the Helltal Schlechten, a breathtaking view awaits us.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: MISURINA-MONTE PIANA 

We start from the Misurina ski lift in the direction of Montepiana. Our route will consist in one part through the toboggan run and the other part in the woods slightly uphill until we reach the Bosi refuge in Monte Piana. From there we will continue our excursion accompanied by a wonderful view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the Ladin Mountain groups. Monte Piana is an open-air museum of the First World War.

Starting from the parking lot, the forest road n. 37 leads to the Vallandro Refuge at 2,040 m. On the north side of the refuge the excursion continues on path no. 34, which leads to the fork of Monte Specie at an altitude of 2,200 m. From the saddle you can now see the cross of Monte Specie at 2,307 m.

After about 2 km we reach the beautiful „Lago di Dobbiaco“. We continue our tour and arrive at the wonderful viewpoint of the „Tre Cime di Lavaredo“. After a short stop at the „Lago di Landro“ we go back to Dobbiaco and up to „Monte San Candido“.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: DOBBIACO MONTE ROTA & SAN SILVESTRO VALLEY 

We start the tour on the Val Pusteria cycle path and go to „Dobbiaco“. From here we go uphill to Monte Rota. On top of Monte Rota we have the perfect view on „Landro Valley“ and „Lago di Dobbiaco“. Now we go through the San Silvestro Valley until we reach the hut „Malga Steinbergalm“. After the lunch break we go back to San Candido.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: LAKE BRAIES

The lake Braies is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and known as the „Pearl of the Dolomite Lakes“.
We start on the Val Pusteria cycle path and go to the small village „Ferrara“ (Val di Braies). We continue on the forest path nr. 1 until we reach San Vito. From San Vito we have to go for 2 km on the main road until we reach the beautiful lake Braies.
We leave the bikes at the parking area and start a 40 minute walk around the lake. After the break we go back to San Candido.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: STEINBERGALM/MALGA STEINBERG

We take our shuttle bus to the Silvesterplatz/ San Silvestro square. On the way back, we pass by the Silvester Chapel and return to the car.
A leisurely hike to the Steinbergalm (refreshments available).

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: KANDELLEN - BERGALM – BONNER HUT 

The tour starts at Dobbiaco-Kandellen. After a few hundred meters on the asphalt road we come to a bridge. Now we take route P25a. At the Bergalmhütte you have already climbed 500 meters. After another 250 meters of altitude we cross the beautiful Bergalm (25B). The south-west facing offers a fascinating view of the Sesto and Braies Dolomites. The way to the Bonnerhütte leads to the southeast. Then it goes down the path P25. Our tour round closes at the bridge. This is followed by the short section to the Kandellen car park.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR: VAL FISCALINA & VAL CAMPO DI DENTRO 

We start on the bike path in direction Sesto and Val Fiscalina. Colourful flower meadows at the foot of rugged rock faces. Thick larch forests against the unique backdrop of the Sesto Sun Dial mountains. We stop at the hut „rifugio Fondovalle“ for a short break. After the break we go back to Sesto and in direction „Val Campo di Dentro“. From the entrance of the valley up to the hut „Rifugio Tre Scarperi“ we have to cycle for 6 km and 400 vertical meters. After the lunch brake we go back to San Candido.

GUIDED HIKE TOUR: SEIKOFEL

The hike begins in Moos and climbs to the Froneben mountain inn (1,540 m). From there, trail no. 139 leads through the "Obere Oltl" high moor, then continues on a forest road (trail no. 13) through dense spruce forests along the gorge of the Sexten stream. At the Saumahd junction (1,756 m), you turn right and reach a clearing via a forest road. Trail no. 132 then leads to the Seikofel (1,908 m), passing beautiful moorlands with rare plants and animals. From the Seikofel, you descend along trail no. 131 toward Kreuzberg Pass, passing through a hollow and up to a trail intersection. Here, you take a wide forest road leading to Schwarzsee. Shortly after the lake, the path turns left and descends steeply, past a campsite, and joins the Sexten Circular Trail (no. 0), which leads back to Moos.

From the Höhlensteintal valley we immediately start a steep ascent and pass a waterfall. We go a little higher and from there we can admire the rustic mountain landscape with ancient stone pine trees. After another short climb, the effort is finally worth it and we take a long break at the lake.
